Elgato launches Wave Go, its first wireless clip-on mic

Wave Go combines a lavalier and a handheld interview mic in one 7g transmitter, with up to 48 hours of total use via the smart handle.

Elgato released Wave Go, its first wireless microphone, on November 6. The device pairs a clip-on lavalier with a handheld interview microphone through a single 7g transmitter, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

The transmitter attaches magnetically to clothing for lavalier use or fits into a dedicated smart handle that turns it into a handheld microphone for interviews. It connects to smartphones through a USB-C receiver.

Two automatic features handle audio settings: EQ Shift switches EQ profiles based on the microphone's position, and Auto Gain adjusts input levels in real time. On PC and Mac, the microphone works with Elgato's free Wave Link mixing software as a desktop mic.

The transmitter runs for up to 8 hours per charge, and the smart handle can fully recharge it up to 5 times for up to 48 hours of total use. A 10-minute fast charge provides about 1 hour of use. The package includes the transmitter, receiver, smart handle, carrying case, two magnetic mounts, a windscreen and a charging cable.

Wave Go is sold on Elgato's official website in more than 40 countries and regions. Elgato is a brand under Corsair. Its Naver brand store is running a promotion until the 10th that offers up to 12,000 won worth of Naver Points for purchase reviews.
