Fujifilm Instax Pal 2 Pre-Orders Open at $170

Fujifilm's Instax Pal 2 is a tiny digital camera with tactile controls, downloadable filters, and direct printing to Instax Link printers. Pre-orders cost $170.

Fujifilm has announced the Instax Pal 2, a small digital camera that measures 37 x 42 x 92mm and is designed for horizontal use. The camera is available to pre-order for $170 in all-white or two-tone silver and black.

The Instax Pal 2 features a 1/3.06-inch CMOS sensor that can capture 10MP or 1MP photos, an f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, autofocus, and auto white balance. It includes an optical viewfinder on the back and a digital viewfinder on top.

For creative control, a lever selects frames matching Fujifilm's Instax films, while a dial switches between downloaded color filters or effects. Images can be transferred to a phone via a built-in USB-C connector or Bluetooth, and printed directly to an Instax Link printer.

The original Instax Pal, which Fujifilm made by separating the camera sensor from its printer, was its smallest instant camera. In a video review, PetaPixel found the Instax Pal 2's interface to be slow.
