Galaxy S27 to keep 25W wired charging, DEMKO listing shows
A Danish DEMKO certification lists the Galaxy S27 at 9V DC and 2.77A, roughly 25W maximum wired charging, matching its predecessors.
Samsung's base Galaxy S27 will keep roughly 25W maximum wired charging, according to a Danish DEMKO certification listing first spotted by Android Treasure and reported by GSMArena. The filing rates the phone's power delivery at 9V DC and 2.77A.
The figure points to the same charging speed Samsung has used on its entry-level flagship for several generations. In February 2026, the Galaxy S26 launched with 25W charging on the base model, and that rating has remained roughly unchanged for about seven years.
Samsung has used the same charging specification since the Galaxy S20. The company did raise the Plus and Ultra models to 45W, so the gap between the base phone and its larger siblings is set to continue with the next generation.
The certification follows earlier filings for the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ in China in September or October 2026, under model numbers SM-S9520 and SM-S9560. Those listings also carried over the predecessors' charging speeds.
Samsung has not confirmed a launch date for the Galaxy S27 series. A South Korean leaker has said the company is accelerating the debut to January 2027 or early February 2027, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra is tipped to get a 5,700 mAh battery and a revamped rear camera module.
