Ganghwa Giljeong-ri Selected for Incheon's First 2MW Floating Solar Plant

Incheon's Ganghwa Giljeong-ri has been selected in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Solar Income Village competition to build Incheon's first 2MW floating solar power plant, according to aitimes.com.
The project will be run through the Giljeong Solar Income Village Cooperative, with residents and Ganghwa Nambu Nonghyup investing jointly. The cooperative plans to lease about 20,000 square meters of Giljeong Reservoir, which is owned by the Korea Rural Community Corporation, to install the 2MW floating solar facility.
In May, Incheon began operating a public-private joint on-site support team with Ganghwa County and related agencies to support the project.
