Gboard beta teardown reveals new Rambler toggles

A teardown of Gboard beta 18.6.3.10 by Android Authority found toggles for contact names and remembering corrected words.

Google is working on two new Rambler toggles in Gboard, according to a teardown of Gboard beta version 18.6.3.10 by Android Authority. The settings were found in the beta build of the keyboard app on November 7, 2026.

The first toggle is labeled "Contact names," and its description says it uses contacts to spell names correctly. The second is "Remember corrected words," which is described as learning and using words corrected during voice typing with Rambler.

The teardown also surfaced a new "Voice correction list" entry, which opens a page showing corrections made while typing with Rambler. Corrected words can be exported and imported as text.

Rambler currently supports the Google Pixel 11 series. The toggles were found in a beta build, so they are not yet confirmed for a stable release.

Why the correction tools matter

Rambler is an AI-powered voice-typing feature in Gboard that transcribes speech and strips out filler words such as "uh" and "um." Correcting the same words repeatedly in Rambler has been a major frustration for users, the background to the find suggests.
