Google adds step-by-step slide and video creation to Gemini Notebook
Users can set length and focus points, then review a slide outline or producer's notes before Gemini Notebook produces the final output.
Google announced on October 21 an update to the slide deck and video explainer creation features in Gemini Notebook, according to forest.watch.impress.co.jp. The change replaces instant final output with a step-by-step creation process.
After a user asks for a presentation or a video in chat, or selects the Slides or Video Explainer items in the Studio panel, a customization screen appears. There, users can specify the length and the points they want the output to focus on.
Two optional switches give users more control. Turning on “Review slide outline” lets them check an outline and request corrections or changes. Turning on “Review producer's notes” lets them preview production notes for a video and request adjustments in text before the final output is generated.
Users with specific requirements can put the details in the prompt to skip the suggestion step and have them filled in automatically.
The feature began rolling out on October 16 to rapid and scheduled release domains, before the October 21 announcement, and may take up to 15 days to become available. It is offered to all Google Workspace users, Google Workspace Individual subscribers and users with personal Google accounts.
