Gigabyte Prepares B760 and H610 Boards for New LGA1700 CPUs
Gigabyte says new LGA1700 processors are expected in early 2027, and existing B760 and H610 boards will support them through a BIOS update.
Gigabyte has announced that new LGA1700 processors are expected to launch in early 2027 and that its B760 and H610 motherboards are being prepared to support them, according to PC Gamer. The company said the upcoming chips are fresh spins on Raptor Lake and Arrow Lake.
Owners of existing B760 and H610 boards will not need new hardware. Gigabyte said its latest BIOS lets them upgrade to the upcoming processors by downloading the BIOS, updating it, and installing the new CPU. The support covers both DDR4 and DDR5 versions of those motherboards.
The forthcoming chips would arrive on a socket that Intel has kept in its product line well past the usual upgrade cycle. Raptor Lake and Arrow Lake previously made up the 12th, 13th and 14th Gen families and were last released as a major launch in 2023.
In August 2025, Intel VP and GM for enthusiast channel Robert Hallock confirmed that Raptor Lake chips would stick around in Intel's portfolio for years to come, citing DDR4 support as a reason.
That memory support matters for buyers weighing a platform move. DDR4-3600 32 GB kits cost around $210, while DDR5-6000 32 GB kits cost around $480.
