Google Adds Customize Screen to Gemini for Skills and Connectors

The new screen lets users manage response styles and connected apps in one place, with the rollout running gradually over up to 15 days.

Google has added a [Customize] screen to the Gemini app that unifies response-style settings and tool-connection settings in one place, according to forest.watch.impress.co.jp.

The screen is divided mainly into [Skills] and [Connectors]. [Skills] lets users configure custom skills and prompt settings to automate repetitive tasks, maintain a writing style and tone, and specify answer formats.

[Connectors] allows connections to Google apps and more than 40 external services. Users can choose which apps to connect, check granted permissions, and disconnect at any time.

The feature is rolling out globally to all user tiers on web, mobile, and the Windows and macOS Gemini desktop apps. Most connected apps are currently available in the US English environment, with some apps offered in other English-speaking regions, Brazil, and India.

The rollout targets all Google Workspace, Google Workspace Individual, and personal Google account users. It began on October 13, 2026, on the immediate and scheduled release domains and is being applied gradually over up to 15 days.
