Google Reports Surge in LLMjacking as Stolen AI Access Sold at 97% Off
Google Threat Intelligence Group says illicit access to Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI models is being traded at steep discounts, with daily costs reaching six figures.
Google Threat Intelligence Group has observed a major increase in LLMjacking during 2026, according to its chief analyst John Hultquist. The group has spotted illicit access to AI models offered by Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI sold at discounts of up to 97% off.
Some traders guarantee ongoing access to stolen AI models even if a compromised account is revoked or closed, according to the findings.
Sysdig's Threat Research Team estimates that LLMjacking costs can reach around $46,000 per day and even exceed $100,000 per day on top-tier models.
Hultquist previously spoke to the Financial Times about the rise of LLMjacking.
