Google to launch Quick Share SDK for Android and iOS next year
The software kit will let developers embed Quick Share and Tap to Share in their own apps on both platforms, Google said at its Android Dev Summit.
Google announced at its Android Dev Summit that it will release a new Quick Share SDK for Android and iOS, according to androidpolice.com. The kit is expected to arrive next year.
With the SDK, app developers will be able to embed Quick Share directly in their own apps, and Tap to Share will also be made available to developers through it. Google said safety features will be included to keep the connection secure.
The SDK had already been mentioned at Google I/O before the Dev Summit. Quick Share itself was introduced by Samsung in 2020 and merged with Google's alternative in 2024.
