KT M Mobile's eSIM roaming service mobi has received a main prize at the 2026 Red Dot Design Award, the company's award entry confirmed. The award recognises the service's redesign, which streamlines the flow from eSIM purchase through registration, setup and activation confirmation.
mobi lets users keep their existing SIM and phone number for calls and texts while using data over eSIM, without signing up for a membership. The app also provides a one-button "simple registration" for eSIM, real-time usage checks, gifting and 365-day customer support, according to datanet.co.kr.
Activation check before departure
A feature called "activation check" allows customers to verify that their eSIM is working while still in the country, before they travel. Design agency THE FIFTY ONE took part in the strategy, planning and design of the project.
