Google Wallet Build Hints at Overseas QR Payments via Alipay Plus

Code in Google Wallet version 26.42.1003171897 points to an 'Overseas QR payments' option linked to a Traveler QR support page naming Alipay Plus in Singapore.

An examination of Google Wallet version 26.42.1003171897 has surfaced code for a new “Overseas QR payments” option in the app's settings, according to Android Authority. The “Learn more” link on that settings screen leads to a Google Wallet support page for a feature called Traveler QR.

According to that support page, Traveler QR activates automatically when a phone detects that it is in a covered region. At present the page names only Alipay+ partner networks in Singapore as a supported destination.

The Traveler QR support page is not yet publicly linked from other Google support pages. Google has not commented on the feature.

What the settings entry shows

The code appeared in the current build of Google Wallet, with the overseas payments entry sitting in the app's settings rather than in the main payment interface. Alipay+ is the international version of Alipay's digital wallet.
