Hanwha units promote 36 executives in 2027 appointments
Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Systems named 36 new executives, with a focus on defense technology and AI transformation.
Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Systems promoted a combined 36 new executives in their 2027 regular executive appointments on the 1st of this month, according to bloter.net. The appointments cover 16 executives at Hanwha Aerospace, 15 at Hanwha Ocean and 5 at Hanwha Systems.
Hanwha Aerospace said the newly promoted executives will accelerate ultra-gap product development and global market expansion. Hanwha Ocean selected 6 of its 15 new executives from research, design and production fields, and stated that its goal is manufacturing and AX (AI transformation) innovation.
Hanwha Systems promoted five new executives — Kang Hoon, Lee Sung-hoon, Lee Jae-yeon, Ji Sang-min and Choi Myeong-seok — and named global market targeting and acceleration of its AX business expansion as key tasks.
Earlier AI and defense work
At this year's Eurosatory, Hanwha Aerospace showcased the K9A2, an improved K9 self-propelled howitzer with an automated ammunition loading system. Hanwha Systems operates a cloud-based big data center and builds smart factories using IoT and big data, and in its half-year report listed its enterprise AI agent platform AgentOne as an R&D task. The company is also conducting AX proof-of-concept projects with Hanwha Ocean and Hanwha Aerospace, including simulation development to optimize block movement routes and storage yard operations at shipyards.
