HONOR's China-only Magic 9 Pro Max pairs dual 200MP cameras with ARRI-tuned imaging, an 8,800mAh battery, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
HONOR has announced the Magic 9 Pro Max for the Chinese market, a flagship built around a camera system that leans heavily on high-resolution sensors and cinema-style processing.
The rear setup pairs two 200MP cameras. The main unit uses an f/1.57 aperture, a 1/1.28-inch sensor, and OIS with 3-degree stabilization. The 200MP telephoto steps to an f/2.6 aperture with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and OIS. A 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide rounds out the back, while the front camera is a 55MP square sensor.
HONOR worked with ARRI to fine-tune image processing and the video pipeline, and the phone carries the H1 Imaging Chip, a 6nm component. ARRI Cinema Mode adds ARRI LogC3 support, preset Looks, and LUT import. Magic Color for Video offers different color options, and LiveVideo captures three seconds after the shutter press, extending the existing LivePhoto feature. HONOR also plans to sell G200 and G500 teleconverter kits.
Power comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and storage from 256GB to 1TB. A 8,800mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
The 6.8-inch OLED display runs at 1320×2868 and reaches up to 10k nits peak local brightness. The body is an aluminum unibody with IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, and the phone ships with MagicOS 11 based on Android 17.
