Ice Universe: No sign of Exynos 2700 in European Galaxy S27 Ultra

The tipster says Europe still has no indication of Samsung's own chip, while the Korean model's chipset remains undecided.

Tipster Ice Universe said on October 30, 2026 that there are still no signs of the Galaxy S27 Ultra using the Exynos 2700 in Europe, according to gsmarena.com. The same tipster said it remains uncertain whether the Korean model of the phone will use Samsung's chip.

If the claim holds, European Galaxy S27 Ultra units would ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 from Qualcomm. Samsung has not officially confirmed which chipset the Galaxy S27 Ultra will use.

The picture has shifted repeatedly over the past months. In July, the Ultra was said to get a Snapdragon chip globally, while the rest of the lineup would use the Exynos 2700 outside North America. In early September, insiders claimed Samsung was building Exynos 2700-powered Galaxy S27 Ultras for Korea and Europe.

In early October, Samsung reportedly began mass producing the Exynos 2700, with the Ultra's chip decision still undecided. A few days later, an insider tip claimed the Galaxy S27 Ultra would only be available with a Qualcomm chipset.

In the middle of October, a report said the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 ran too hot in Samsung's testing, which Qualcomm denied. Last week, the Exynos 2700 reportedly beat Qualcomm's chip in internal tests again.
