KB Securities to sell Kkaebi AI to outside firms, starting November
KB Securities will first apply its in-house AI tool to affiliated companies in November and is separating its data into B2B and internal categories.
KB Securities plans to commercialize its in-house AI tool Kkaebi AI as an external B2B business and will begin applying it to affiliated companies in November as the first step in widening its use, the company said. The plan was outlined by the head of its AI & Digital Division in an interview with digitaltoday.co.kr.
The brokerage is separating the data connected to Kkaebi AI into B2B-use and internal-use categories, so that client firms can connect their own internal data to the tool.
According to the same interview, KB Securities is also reviewing the issuance of token securities of Korean products aimed at wealthy US retail investors, together with Securitize and Optimism.
Kkaebi AI's users and usage volume have grown about 20 times compared with the start of the year, according to the company. In the wealth management division, incomplete-sales management work was cut from 1 hour to 5 minutes using AI, while IPO demand forecasting in the investment banking division fell from 7-8 hours to 30 minutes. Manual work in institutional trading orders in the S&T division dropped by about 90%.
The head of the AI & Digital Division previously led the big data service development group and the generative AI group at Samsung Electronics.
