Kagomedia Opens Makuake Crowdfunding for Kinoko no Yama Earphones Pro

Kagomedia announced a crowdfunding project on Makuake to commercialize the second-generation Kinoko no Yama Wireless Earphones Pro, according to news.denfaminicogamer.jp. Orders open on November 1, 2026 at 12:00 and close on December 13, 2026.
Commercialization depends on the project reaching at least 1,000 backers. There is no cap on order quantity, and production will follow the volume ordered.
The Pro model retains the AI simultaneous interpretation feature, which supports 144 languages at 98% accuracy, the company said. Sound tuning has been revised to improve low- and high-frequency characteristics and to reduce low-frequency total harmonic distortion. The touch sensor FPC now uses gold plating instead of copper foil to improve touch detection accuracy, and the eartips are made from a soft memory foam material intended for longer comfortable wear.
The charging case standby current was cut from 0.5mA to 0.08mA, extending standby time from about 26 days to about 81 days. The regular price is 36,300 yen including tax, with a launch 24-hour first-come price of 29,800 yen for 1,000 units. Shipping is scheduled to begin sequentially from mid-March 2027.
Earlier limited run sold out quickly
In 2024, the first-generation Kinoko no Yama Wireless Earphones were sold in a limited run of 3,500 units. Sales began on Makuake on March 26, 2024 at 12:00 and the 3,500 units sold out in about 10 minutes. Kagomedia says it received many requests for a re-release after the sellout. The first-generation product began as a fictional item announced on social media and was developed over about seven months.
