Korea, Egypt Sign Clean Energy and Power Grid MOUs at Seoul Summit

Korea and Egypt signed two memorandums of understanding on clean energy cooperation and on building a power infrastructure cooperation partnership, according to ZDNet Korea. The agreements were signed on the occasion of a Korea-Egypt summit held at the Blue House.

The clean energy MOU covers cooperation in solar, wind, biomass, waste-to-energy and the peaceful uses of nuclear power.

Under the power infrastructure partnership, the two sides will share policies and technologies on transmission and distribution grid expansion, renovation of aging facilities, HVDC and ESS.

The agreements involve Korea's Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and Egypt's Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
