LG touts V2X and V2N road safety system at ITS congress

LG Electronics ran a 2.6 km demonstration in Gangneung detecting stalled cars, roadworks, bad weather and ambulances, techm.kr reports.

LG Electronics demonstrated a traffic safety solution combining vehicle-to-everything (V2X) and vehicle-to-network (V2N) communications at the 2026 ITS World Congress, held in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, from October 19 to 23, according to techm.kr.

The demonstration covered a 2.6 km section in which a vehicle detected stalled or broken-down cars, road construction, bad weather, approaching ambulances and pedestrian collision risks, and notified the driver.

LG Electronics said the solution met the top grade in the Euro NCAP new car safety assessment programme.

Separately, KT signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency on October 15.
