Lotte Innovate, ITCEN CTS Sign MOU for Ansan Data Center

Lotte Innovate signed a memorandum of understanding with IT infrastructure company ITCEN CTS on October 16 for stable operation of the Ansan Global Cloud Center and cooperation in the data center business, according to techm.kr.
The agreement combines specialized personnel with IT infrastructure technology capabilities to support Lotte Innovate's recently secured consigned operation project for the Ansan GCC. Under the deal, ITCEN CTS will provide specialized operational personnel and infrastructure technology support.
The Ansan GCC is a data center of about 40 megawatts (MW) being built in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, scheduled for completion next year. Lotte Innovate signed a five-year consigned operation contract with IGIS Asset Management and will oversee overall center operations.
The two companies will seek cooperation opportunities in the hyperscale and edge data center fields and pursue new business development through joint sales and marketing.
Earlier data center deals
On October 13, Lotte Innovate signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Vietnamese IT company CMC Group to cooperate in new business areas including hyperscale data centers. In December of last year, the company secured the consigned operation project for the Campsquare data center, and in February of this year it won the IGIS Asset Management edge data center DBO project. Lotte Innovate has about 20 years of data center operation experience.
