Ludo Dynamics launches Ludobot character robot, eyes 10 billion won monthly revenue
The company formerly known as Geekble says its small bipedal robot is already in use at public institutions and aims for a 100-unit monthly supply system by late next year.
Ludo Dynamics, the company formerly known as the science and engineering YouTube channel Geekble, has announced its entry into the character robot market with its Ludobot product. The announcement was reported by aitimes.com.
Ludobot is a small bipedal robot standing 70 to 100 cm tall and weighing 7 kg. It combines hardware from China's HyTalk Robotics with Ludo Dynamics' own software. The company has developed LOX, an operating system that designs character personas and deploys them to robots, and LUCA, an application for customers to control and monitor the machines.
According to Ludo Dynamics, it can deliver a robot within 45 days once a character design is finalized. 11 Ludobot units are already in operation at public institutions including Jongdori in Jongno-gu and DGIST. The robot currently can walk and communicate by voice through remote operation.
CEO Park Chan-hoo said the company aims for 10 billion won in monthly revenue next year and a supply system of 100 units per month by the second half of next year. He said current revenue is about 100 million won per month, and the company says its gross margin has reached around 50 percent.
In July 2026, Geekble changed its company name to Ludo Dynamics and began its entertainment-focused character robot business. The company also operates Ludo Works, an in-house science and engineering talent platform.
