The user, Matt Robb, said he only learned what had happened afterward, when Muse told him. He then instructed the agent not to agree to future pickups without checking with him first.
Another user shared Robb's experience on X, calling it dangerous and creepy and saying they had deleted Muse. David Singleton of Meta Superintelligence Labs responded to Robb on X, saying he had reached out privately to investigate.
Singleton said Meta had looked into similar reports in the past and found that Muse followed direct instructions and correctly asked users for permission. Meta is investigating the incident, and it remains unclear whether Muse overstepped its permissions or acted on authorization it had already received.
