Meta launches AI wardrobe app Style Sketch in three Asian markets

Style Sketch builds outfits from clothes users already own and can connect to Instagram to create a virtual closet, TechCrunch reports.

Meta has quietly launched an AI fashion app called Style Sketch, which builds outfit ideas from clothes users already own. According to TechCrunch, the app is available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand on iOS and Android.

Style Sketch can connect to Instagram to build a virtual closet from photos users have posted. Users can also add items manually by taking a photo, recording a short video or uploading images from their camera roll. The app then suggests combinations from that wardrobe matched to the user's style, and can assemble outfit ideas around a specific item.

Users can try outfits on a realistic model matched to their body shape and skin tone. For travel, the app can create a day-by-day outfit plan based on destination, trip length, activities, weather forecast and itinerary.

The app was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra. Meta did not respond to TechCrunch's request for comment.

Other recent Meta apps

Style Sketch follows other recent Meta releases, including Waddle World, an AI take on the virtual pet format, Pocket, a tool for vibe-coding games, and Vibes, which lets users generate AI-powered videos. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this year that CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees the company plans to release far more apps than it has historically.
