Mobilint to build humanoid robot NPU platform with LG Electronics
The state-backed project makes Mobilint lead developer of an NPU, module and software platform to be tested in LG Electronics' humanoid environments.
Mobilint said on October 22, 2026 that it will develop a neural processing unit (NPU) and AI computing platform for humanoid robots together with LG Electronics, according to aitimes.com. The work falls under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's K-on-device AI semiconductor technology development program.
Mobilint is the lead research organization on the project. It will develop a computing platform that integrates the NPU, modules and software.
The platform will be tested in stages in LG Electronics' humanoid environments for everyday spaces.
Other Korean AI and cloud deals
Separately, Naver signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Expressway Corporation, Kakao Mobility and Tmap Mobility to form a public-private traffic safety data sharing council. Naver plans to provide highway traffic safety information through Naver Map.
DeepX introduced an ultra-low-power NPU for traffic CCTV at the 2026 ITS World Congress, held in Gangneung on the 19th. The chip draws 1 to 5 watts and can analyze vehicles, pedestrians and incidents on-site in real time. DeepX is also pursuing adoption for Korea Expressway Corporation's smart tolling and Korail's railway safety AI project.
Bespin Global won the Asia-Pacific Cloudflare One Partner of the Year award at the Cloudflare Connect 2026 Partner Summit in San Francisco on the 19th, its second consecutive year receiving the honor, cited for long-term work including ZTNA and WAF projects for major Korean airlines. Inhance, meanwhile, signed an MOU with Auto & to build an ontology-based AI-native commerce platform that combines Auto &'s automotive commerce data with Inhance's AgentOS.
