Naver Cloud Sponsors Sejong Run 26 With 5,000 Runners

More than 2,000 of the roughly 5,000 participants were public officials, and Lee Bong-ju completed the 5km course.

Naver Cloud sponsored the Sejong Run 26 running event held at Sejong Central Park on October 24, which drew about 5,000 participants, according to ZDNet Korea.

More than 2,000 of those taking part, roughly 41% of the total, were public officials, including police, firefighters, education officials and military personnel.

The event offered 5km and 10km courses starting at 9am. Former marathoner and Olympic silver medalist Lee Bong-ju appeared on stage for the warm-up and completed the 5km course.

Government ties

The organizer said Naver Cloud works with more than 40 government ministries located in the Sejong government complex. Naver Works, the company's collaboration tool, has been adopted for the government-wide AI work platform OnAI led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In July 2026, Lee Bong-ju finished the half course at the Gold Coast Marathon in Australia in 1 hour 39 minutes 55 seconds, marking his return to running after a long battle with the rare disorder dystonia.
