NetSuite opens ERP platform to OpenAI and Claude agents

Oracle NetSuite says external AI agents can work inside a user's own permissions, with no NetSuite AI usage fee for ChatGPT or Claude.

Oracle NetSuite announced at SuiteWorld 2026 that it has opened its Oracle Cloud-based ERP platform to external AI agents through an AI connector service, according to digitaltoday.co.kr. OpenAI and Claude can connect to the platform and process tasks within the user's permissions.

NetSuite said access for external AI is limited to the user's own permissions, so an agent works with the same data rights as the person who connects it. The company presented its AI agents as preparing work and proposing handling options, while a human decides whether to execute.

The pricing structure differs by assistant. Using NetSuite's own AI assistant, Ask Oracle, requires paying NetSuite an AI usage fee, while connecting ChatGPT or Claude incurs no NetSuite AI usage fee because the compute is handled by OpenAI and Anthropic.

NetSuite is also offering US technology startups its free financial platform QuickStart. In its background, the company has promoted an “autonomous suite” vision, though its ERP does not yet run fully on its own.
