Nyrius launches $99.99 Phoenix Prime 4K30 wireless HDMI kit
Nyrius's new Phoenix Prime 4K30 transmits 4K video up to 15.2m through walls and is available now via Nyrius.com and Amazon.
Nyrius has launched the Phoenix Prime 4K30, a wireless 4K HDMI transmission kit priced at $99.99 / £83.21 (about AU$144), according to TechRadar. The kit is available now via Nyrius.com and Amazon.
The Phoenix Prime 4K30 ships in two versions: an HDMI-to-HDMI model and a USB-C to HDMI model for devices that support DisplayPort Alt Mode.
Nyrius says the kit supports resolutions up to 4K at distances of up to 50ft / 15.2m through walls, floors and ceilings, and up to 150ft / 45.7m with no obstacles. It operates on frequencies between 5.1 and 5.8GHz with auto-switching across 9 channels.
Both Phoenix Prime 4K30 models have a latency of 90ms. Unlike the pricier Nyrius Home, the new kit is limited to 30fps and lacks Dolby Atmos, DTS and HDR support.
Comparison with Nyrius Home
The Nyrius Home, Nyrius's existing wire-free 4K streamer, supports up to 60fps and 7.1-channel audio, Dolby Atmos, DTS and HDR. The Phoenix Prime 4K30 does not include those features.
