Opera has added a free eSIM to its Android browser, giving users 3GB of 5G data at no cost. The feature is available in 47 countries, including Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
The free 3GB data is limited to users based in the US, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Brazil, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Poland. It expires three days after activation, and no payment information is required to claim it.
Users who need more data can buy additional plans in 3GB, 5GB and 10GB variants. The eSIM requires Android 10 or newer and an eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked phone.
Opera told Engadget it has nothing to share about an iOS version. The Opera mobile browser also includes a VPN, and the company recently introduced Neon, an AI-driven agentic browser.
