OSBC Launches ReversingLabs File Verification for Korean Finance

OSBC begins full-scale supply and technical support of ReversingLabs' foreign file verification solution to Korean financial firms.

OSBC announced on October 14, 2026 that it is starting full-scale supply and technical support of ReversingLabs' foreign file verification solution to the financial sector, according to dailysecu.com. OSBC is the Korean distributor for ReversingLabs, a US-based file analysis and software supply chain security company.

The solution verifies the integrity of files brought in from outside an organization and checks for tampering, aiming to block malware introduction through the supply chain. ReversingLabs' Spectra Intelligence threat intelligence database is built on more than 400 billion file samples, and the company claims a threat database of over 422 billion searchable files.

At the binary level, ReversingLabs' Spectra Core engine decomposes and analyzes files and software. OSBC said that combining existing open source and SBOM-based management with binary analysis can expand the scope of supply chain security.

Background

Korean financial institutions have seen several incidents in recent years. A large card company suffered a Webshell intrusion through a payment server that had not applied a security patch for Oracle WebLogic, exposing millions of customers' personal information and card CVC data. At major commercial banks, external intrusions targeting vulnerable systems such as authentication flaws in simple inquiry services and the sales support system used by outsourced developers led to customer and employee data leaks. In the savings bank sector, unauthorized access cases exploiting open source database vulnerabilities occurred.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service, over 2,100 electronic financial and breach incidents were reported over the past five years, and 91 cases took a month or more to notice the breach. In some recent financial hacking cases, evidence of abuse of an AI-based autonomous penetration framework was found.

ReversingLabs was founded in 2009, is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with a base in Zagreb, Croatia, and has over 15 years of malware analysis and threat intelligence research. OSBC was founded in 2006 as an open source security and compliance management company.
