SailPoint Adds AI Access Requests, Ships IdentityIQ 9.0
SailPoint updated its cloud-native SailPoint Human Fabric platform with AI agents and cryptographic signing, and released IdentityIQ 9.0 for on-premises customers.
SailPoint Technologies Holdings announced on October 28, 2026 a set of enterprise upgrades spanning its cloud and on-premises identity products, including new features for the cloud-native SailPoint Human Fabric (SHF) platform and the release of IdentityIQ 9.0 for on-premises customers, according to dailysecu.com.
On the cloud side, SailPoint said the access certification engine in SHF was rebuilt to handle reviews of very large campaigns without record limits or data delays. The platform also gains cryptographic signing for GxP compliance, aimed at customers in regulated industries.
A reworked segregation-of-duties (SoD) engine now evaluates access requests in real time and blocks requests that combine toxic access rights, rather than issuing alerts after the fact. SHF additionally introduces a conversational access request feature built on AI-based agents, which lets employees ask for access in natural language from a messenger and supply a business justification.
On-premises governance
IdentityIQ 9.0, the new version of the company's on-premises identity governance solution, adds time-based access controls, a technical redesign on a modern application server, a simplified user interface and an automated upgrade utility.
The company framed the release as covering both deployment models, pairing the cloud-native SHF feature set with an update path for customers running identity governance on their own infrastructure.
