Samsung Display to Start Galaxy S27 Panel Production This Month
Samsung Display will begin mass production of AMOLED panels for the Galaxy S27 series this month, targeting 47-48 million units annually.
Samsung Display is preparing to begin mass production of AMOLED panels for the Galaxy S27 series this month, according to GSM Arena. The move signals the company is ramping up its supply chain ahead of the flagship lineup's expected launch.
The Galaxy S27 family will include four models: a 6.27-inch Galaxy S27, a 6.66-inch Galaxy S27+, a 6.47-inch Galaxy S27 Pro, and a 6.89-inch Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung Display expects to provide about 10% more panels for the Galaxy S27 series than it did for the Galaxy S26 family.
The annual shipment target for Galaxy S27 panels is between 47 million and 48 million units. For comparison, the shipment target for the Galaxy S26 devices was in the low 40 million range.
Samsung wants Samsung Display to ship 2 to 3 million panels for the Galaxy S27 Pro this year and 4 to 5 million units next year. Earlier today, a separate report said Samsung has apparently started mass producing the Exynos 2700 chipset for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series.
