SanDisk launches NAS 600 SATA and NAS 800 NVMe SSDs for NAS use
The NAS 600 tops out at 2,500 TBW on its 4TB model, while the PCIe 5.0 NAS 800 reaches 14,900MB/s sequential reads on its 1.92TB model.
SanDisk has announced a high-endurance SSD lineup called SanDisk NAS, aimed at NAS environments, according to datanet.co.kr. The portfolio consists of the SanDisk NAS 600 SATA SSD and the SanDisk NAS 800 NVMe SSD.
The NAS 600 uses a 2.5-inch/7mm SATA form factor and reaches sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s. It is offered in capacities from 500GB to 4TB, with endurance of up to 2,500 TBW on the 4TB model and up to 2.25 million hours MTTF.
The NAS 800 is a PCIe 5.0 drive built on SanDisk TLC 3D NAND, sold in capacities from 960GB to 7.68TB. On the 1.92TB model it delivers up to 14,900MB/s sequential read and 13,200MB/s sequential write speeds, while the 3.84TB model reaches up to 2.3 million random read and 2.0 million random write IOPS.
Write endurance on the NAS 800 goes up to 14PBW on the 7.68TB model. SanDisk vice president of product management Anil Moolchandani commented on the new NAS portfolio.
