Schneider Electric launches NVIDIA-based prefab power for AI data centers

The Prefab Power Module and Power Skid use Schneider's Galaxy VXL UPS in 2MW, 2.25MW and 2.5MW capacities, with deployment in as little as six months.

Schneider Electric on October 23 unveiled Prefab Power Module and Power Skid products for AI data centers, built on a reference design co-developed with NVIDIA for its GB300 NVL72 platform, according to datanet.co.kr.

The reference design supports up to 142kW of power density per rack and includes integrated power management and liquid cooling control. The new products use Schneider Electric's Galaxy VXL UPS technology and come in 2MW, 2.25MW and 2.5MW capacities.

The 2.5MW model is the largest single-container prefabricated power solution Schneider Electric has offered to date, the company said. The company says the new solutions can deploy AI data center power infrastructure in as little as six months.

Power capacity can be expanded module by module for phased data center build-outs, targeting hyperscale, neocloud and colocation environments.

Earlier reference design

In an earlier phase of the collaboration, the two companies co-developed a reference design for GB300 NVL72 supporting up to 142kW per rack, including integrated power management and liquid cooling control.
