SecurityScorecard Unveils TITAN AI and AI Vendor Risk Guidelines
SecurityScorecard said its TITAN Assess tool processes security questionnaires up to 18 times faster than manual work and can cut that workload by up to 92%.
SecurityScorecard announced guidelines for managing AI vendor risk and introduced TITAN AI, an AI-based risk management automation platform, on October 19, according to dailysecu.com.
The company pointed to a case in which security teams knew of only 12 AI vendors while their organizations were actually using 60 AI tools. Its guidelines list three key criteria for choosing AI vendors: data flows and privacy protection, AI technical capability, and ethical AI and bias mitigation.
Within TITAN AI, the company highlighted TITAN Assess, which automates vendor security assessments. According to SecurityScorecard, it processes complex security questionnaires up to 18 times faster than manual work and can reduce manual questionnaire workload by up to 92%.
TITAN Assess pairs AI-generated responses with expert review and checks vendor submissions against policy criteria to flag items that need verification.
Regulatory backdrop
The announcement comes as the EU AI Act is being applied in stages, with some obligations already in force and major high-risk AI rules scheduled to apply from December 2027 and August 2028 depending on type. The GDPR also applies to personal data processing alongside the EU AI Act.
