Sui Named Samsung Wallet Partner for USDC Transfers on Galaxy Devices
Samsung Wallet will let Galaxy users send and receive USDC directly, starting with a U.S. pilot and cross-border remittances as the main use case.
Sui has been selected as the blockchain infrastructure partner for Samsung Wallet's stablecoin support, according to Venturesquare. The collaboration integrates Sui native USDC transfer functionality into Samsung Wallet, allowing Galaxy users to send and receive USDC directly inside the existing mobile wallet.
The service will begin as a pilot in the United States before expanding to other countries. The primary use case is cross-border remittance: users select a recipient and send USDC from Samsung Wallet.
The partnership involves Sui, Samsung, and the stablecoin issuer Circle, whose USDC is being used for the transfers. Samsung Wallet already serves Galaxy device users as their mobile wallet for payments and digital assets.
Earlier infrastructure work
Sui adopted native USDC in 2024 and integrated Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol, and in May 2026 it introduced gasless stablecoin transfer functionality on mainnet. According to Sui, cumulative stablecoin transfer volume processed on its network surpassed $1 trillion since August 2025. A Visa survey across 20 markets found digital apps were the preferred remittance method in all surveyed countries, with 41% of U.S. respondents willing to use stablecoins for international remittances.
