SWK Energie Launches meinGAMING Electricity Plan for High-Usage Households

The German utility says the plan's power is 100% renewable and is worthwhile for households using over 2,500 kWh annually.

German utility SWK Energie has launched a new electricity plan called meinGAMING, aimed at high-consumption households, according to Tom's Hardware. The company says the plan is worthwhile for households using more than 2,500 kWh annually.

The plan carries a higher base price than some competitors, SWK Energie says, but its power is 100% sourced from renewable energy. No launch date or pricing details were provided in the announcement.

Energy providers have previously looked to gaming audiences as a distinct customer segment. In October 2025, the U.S. Army targeted gamers in its recruitment drives, while the FAA's last hiring campaign, also focused on gamers, hit 94% of its hiring goal.

The Royal Navy's latest ship hosts eight high-end gaming PCs for LAN parties, an example of gaming hardware being used to draw interest to a non-gaming organization.
