UBASE, GUNSOLUTION sign MOU for autonomous manufacturing, physical AI

The two Korean firms will pair GUNSOLUTION's GUNNOS operating OS with UBASE's digital twin and physical AI technology for supply at home and abroad.

UBASE and GUNSOLUTION said on October 15, 2026 that they signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly supply autonomous manufacturing and physical AI solutions in South Korea and overseas markets, according to datanet.co.kr.

Under the agreement, GUNSOLUTION's AI autonomous manufacturing operating OS, GUNNOS, will be combined with UBASE's digital twin, simulation and AI technologies. The two companies aim to offer the resulting integrated solution to small and mid-sized manufacturers in South Korea and to overseas buyers.

GUNSOLUTION will cover on-site deployment and operation, including integrated control of heterogeneous robots and equipment, robot automation, equipment connectivity and factory layout design based on GUNNOS. UBASE will take on virtualization and intelligence work, including digital twin, simulation, AI inference and physical AI.

The companies will also pursue an integrated package that pairs GUNNOS with UBASE's autonomous manufacturing full-cycle platform, OCTOPUS. That package covers joint sales and marketing for South Korean small and mid-sized manufacturers, joint overseas expansion to Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, and securing joint supply cases.
