Windows 11 Insider Builds Add Xbox Mode Shortcuts and Revamped Search
Insiders can now switch Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and power settings from Xbox mode, and filter search results by files, actions or web.
Microsoft has released new Windows 11 Insider builds that add quick settings for Xbox mode and an overhauled search experience, according to theverge.com.
The Xbox mode shortcuts let users manage Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and power settings without leaving gaming mode. The builds also bring a revised search box that can carry out actions such as changing screen brightness or volume, and placing calls on a connected phone.
Search results can now be filtered for files, actions or web results. Results can also surface details such as a file's last modified date and author, along with charts for stock prices and weather forecasts.
Users can rate results with thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons, which Microsoft says will help improve search over time.
The update is available now as Beta Build 26220.9836 and Experimental Build 26340.9843 for Windows Insiders.
