Woowa Brothers holds WOOWACON 2026, unveils AI delivery tech

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, held the Woowa Tech Conference 2026 (WOOWACON 2026) on October 28, 2026, at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam, Seoul, according to techm.kr. The event, now in its seventh year, was held under the theme “Technology that builds a city that never stops.”

About 10,000 people pre-registered for the conference, and approximately 2,000 selected by lottery attended on-site. More than 40 presentation sessions covered AI and machine learning, backend and frontend, mobile apps, data, robotics and organizational culture.

CTO Ko Myung-seok introduced a hyper-personalization engine that uses more than 3,000 customer variables and an ontology. The company said it has built a cooking-time prediction model that reduced average error by 50% and a delivery-time prediction system that more than doubled accuracy. Monthly autonomous driving distance for its delivery robot service has surpassed 5,000 kilometers.

Woowa Brothers also said it has built an AI governance system that integrates calls to multiple AI models and agents and manages usage and costs by project. QA engineer Park Se-yeon said the agreement rate for AI answer evaluations rose from about 45% initially to about 90% for safety and about 96% for quality.

Hands-on activities included mobile mini-games “B Mart Tycoon,” “Prompt Speedrun,” “Woowa Ne-cut” and “Session Shopping Cart,” as well as a mentoring program.

Background

Woowa Brothers introduced its delivery robot service in February 2025, according to the company. It has also used rain forecasting to cut rider demand response time by about 80% compared with before, the company said.
