A survey published by Use.AI has found that 38% of regular workplace AI users admit to hoarding prompts to gain a professional advantage over colleagues, according to techradar.com.

The survey also found that 21% of workplace AI users have hidden their AI use from their manager, while 36% said they had hidden it from coworkers.

Among those who hoard prompts, 44% said they did not want colleagues to gain the same productivity advantage. A further 41% of all respondents said they worried about colleagues and managers learning how much time and effort AI saves them.

The survey questioned 13,276 adults who use AI in the workplace across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, the EU and Latin America.
