YouTube adds custom video feeds to mobile home screen
The feature lets viewers build topic-based feeds from a plus tab; non-Premium users get three feeds and subscribers up to eight.
YouTube has added a custom video feed feature to the home page of its mobile app, according to CNET. The option appears as a plus sign on a new horizontal menu at the top of the home screen.
The same menu carries tabs for subscribed channels, music and live streams. A Music & TV button is available to subscribers of YouTube TV or Primetime Channels.
Users can edit the prompt behind a feed, rename it or delete it. Accounts without YouTube Premium can create three custom feeds, while Premium subscribers can create up to eight; YouTube Premium costs $9 per month, according to the article.
Custom feeds require a user to be 13 or older and to have both watch history and search history enabled. The feature is not yet available on tablets.
Already on desktop
YouTube introduced custom feeds on desktop in October 2025. Google, which owns YouTube, has not said when the feature will reach tablets.
