Flanagan Eyes Jaws and Jurassic Park Reboots
Filmmaker Mike Flanagan says he would like to reboot Steven Spielberg's Jaws and Jurassic Park franchises, according to Collider.
Filmmaker Mike Flanagan has said he hopes to take on reboots of franchises from Steven Spielberg's portfolio, naming Jaws and Jurassic Park as titles he would like to revisit. The comments were reported by Collider.
Flanagan's latest series, Carrie, premiered on Prime Video on October 7, 2026, with all eight episodes released at once. The series was produced by Amazon MGM Studios for Prime Video and drew critical praise, including from author Stephen King.
His next project behind the camera is The Exorcist: Martyrs, scheduled for release on March 12, 2027. The film continues his run of horror work after series including The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Flanagan's feature credits also include Gerald's Game, Doctor Sleep and The Life of Chuck. No deal has been announced for any Jaws or Jurassic Park project, and the comments were framed as his own interest rather than a confirmed production.
