《魔戒》吃墩三部曲收官作定于2027年2月发售

《The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Trick-Taking Game》已宣布将于2027年2月发售，为 Bryan Bornmueller 设计的《魔戒》吃墩三部曲画上句号。据 polygon.com 报道，Bornmueller 是在 Spiel Essen 展会期间接受采访时透露这一消息的。
新作加入了一项名为“王冠”的机制，用于交换卡牌：玩家把牌放到王冠之下，并向国王屈膝，从而取走这些牌。Bornmueller 为该三部曲的设计师，Taylor Reiner 担任联合开发。
该三部曲始于2024年出版的《The Lord of the Rings Trick-Taking Game》，以《The Fellowship of the Ring》为蓝本。第二部《The Two Towers Trick-Taking Game》于2026年1月推出，引入了作为对决王牌的白塔与黑塔。
《魔戒》题材桌游由来已久，Reiner Knizia 设计的《The Lord of the Rings》游戏于2000年问世，Asmodee 也发行过《Journeys in Middle-Earth》和《魔戒》成长式卡牌游戏等托尔金改编作品。
