The company signed a contract to supply turbines to the Hanbit Offshore Wind Farm, to be built off the coast of Yeonggwang, South Jeolla Province.
Unison has completed development of a 10MW-class offshore wind turbine, the largest capacity in South Korea. It is undergoing international type certification procedures for the 10MW turbine with the goal of commercialization in the first half of next year.
In the past, Unison completed major wind farm development and EPC projects including Yeonggwang Baeksu 40MW, Uiryeong 18.75MW, Jeongam 32.2MW, Yeonggwang 79.6MW, and Omisan 60.2MW.
The company is also leading the basic design of 20MW or larger offshore wind turbines and the development of 6MW-class onshore turbines through a national project.
