Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Re-Cut Swaps Yamoshi Silhouette for Goku
Episode 1 of the re-cut presents Beerus' Super Saiyan God vision as a red-lit Goku, according to Screen Rant, dropping the golden figure fans tied to Yamoshi.
The re-cut anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus appears to have changed the figure in Beerus' vision of a Super Saiyan God. According to Screen Rant, episode 1 of the re-cut shows the vision as a red-lit silhouette of Goku rather than the golden, ambiguous figure seen before.
In the original Dragon Ball Super episode 9, that same vision showed a golden-lit figure whose identity was left open. Fans took the silhouette to be Yamoshi, the first Super Saiyan in Akira Toriyama's lore.
The change means the character no longer has even that apparent appearance in the Dragon Ball anime, Screen Rant reports, since the revised episode presents the vision as Goku.
Where Yamoshi Came From
Toriyama created Yamoshi as the catalyst for the Super Saiyan God and the first Legendary Super Saiyan. In the Saikyo Jump issue released on December 1, 2017, he confirmed Yamoshi was the Legendary Super Saiyan of the Namek and Frieza Saga era, and described him raising a rebellion with five companions before the Saiyan homeworld was called Planet Vegeta.
