Nishigori's Grotesqqque Omnibus Opens in Japan on November 6

The three-segment film, animated by CloverWorks with planning and production by JOEN and Aniplex, is screening at the Tokyo International Film Festival.

Atsushi Nishigori's anime omnibus film Grotesqqque is screening at the Tokyo International Film Festival ahead of its Japanese theatrical opening on November 6, according to cartoonbrew.com. The film collects three segments: "A(e)liens," "Yoroshiku Girl" and "Nocturne: Nuit Grotesque."

Nishigori directed the first and third segments, wrote the second and created the original character concepts for the project.

Grotesqqque is animated by CloverWorks, with planning and production handled by JOEN and Aniplex.

Nishigori previously worked as a character designer on Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt and directed Darling in the Franxx. After finishing that series, he was asked to direct a feature but was too tired to consider it at the time.
