Lezhin Entertainment to launch Teaz AI character chat on October 19
Teaz lets users talk with characters from Lezhin Comics and Bomtoon webtoons; it starts as a web service, with a mobile app planned later.
Lezhin Entertainment will launch Teaz, an AI character chat service built on its webtoon intellectual property, in Korea on October 19, according to a report by animenewsnetwork.com. The company had announced the service on October 12.
Teaz lets users talk with characters from original series on Lezhin Comics and Bomtoon. Users can interact with a character directly or follow the conversation from a third-person view. The service uses officially licensed IPs and adjusts characters’ responses and relationships based on the choices users make.
The service also includes collection elements: hidden illustrations and items created by the original webtoon artists can be gathered as users progress.
Teaz debuts as a web service, with a mobile app slated for a later release. A text-based role-playing game mode and additional features will be added in stages.
Lezhin Entertainment has not said whether Teaz will be offered in English.
