The fantasy series follows Hiori, who disguises herself as a man to avenge her sister and reach the imperial throne in a land called Ryū no Hara.
Miri Mikawa and Kairi Shimotsuki are launching a new manga on November 24, the authors announced. According to Anime News Network, the series is set in a realm called Ryū no Hara (Dragon Plains) that safeguards the slumber of dragons.
In that setting, women who cannot hear the dragons' voices are despised as "Yūshi," or wanderers, while men who can hear the dragons' voices are also detested.
The protagonist, Hiori, lost her older sister, who was killed as a "Yūshi." Hiori sets out to avenge her and to rewrite the country's laws.
To pursue that goal, Hiori disguises herself as a man and heads for the imperial throne, marrying Haruhana, the former emperor's daughter, who holds a great secret.
