NTT Solmare Partially Restores Comic CMOA After Breach
Comic CMOA users must reset their passwords to access restored features, including browser reading and plan cancellations, NTT Solmare said.
NTT Solmare announced on Thursday, October 29, 2026, that its Comic CMOA manga service has partially resumed operations, roughly two weeks after it was suspended over unauthorized external access. Purchased works and the unlimited reading service can again be viewed through a web browser, according to Anime News Network.
Members can also change their information and request cancellation of registered monthly plans and unlimited reading services. Users must reset their password before they can use the restored features, the company said.
Other functions remain offline. Automatic purchase of new releases, unsubscribing, new member registration and the ability to check history records for points, purchases and monthly subscriptions have not yet returned. The bookshelf function is scheduled to resume soon, and purchasing works and points is due to return sequentially by payment method.
NTT Solmare urged users to be wary of suspicious emails and to change passwords on other services that use the same email address and password combination. Users outside Japan still cannot reach the website because of restrictions on access from outside the country and through VPNs.
