A completed-film preview screening of Armored Trooper Votoms: The Gray Witch was held on 8 November 2026 at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, according to cinematoday.jp. Director Mamoru Oshii attended alongside voice cast members Miyuki Sawashiro, Mabuki Ando, Shin-ichiro Miki and Sumire Uesaka.
The film is a completely new work produced for Sunrise's 50th anniversary. It is set at the end of the Hundred Years War in the Astragius Galaxy and follows a soldier nicknamed a witch and the female officer tasked with pursuing her.
At the event, Oshii said the film is planned as a two-part work and that the second part is not yet confirmed to be on schedule.
